ADVERTISEMENT FOR POST OF FACULTY/REGISTRAR

 

Associate Professor (Hindi/ Indian Language)

Good academic record with a doctoral degree or equivalent published work in communication/mass communication, in Hindi or Indian Language/Journalism from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from foreign University.

Five years of experience of teaching journalism course and/or research excluding the period spent for obtaining the research degrees and has made some mark in the areas of scholarship as evidenced by quality of publications, contribution to educational innovation, design of new courses and curricula.

Desirable:  Experience of working in a newspaper/ weekly, periodical, work in linguistics.

Job profile:  This is a senior level position where the candidate is expected to help and coordinate the post-graduate programme in Hindi Journalism.  Familiarity with Hindi journalism is essential.  Work experience in the Media support by academic inclination and interest is needed, as the Institute is involved in training, education and research.  The candidate is also expected to help and initiate a programme of publishing text Books in journalism and mass communication in Hindi and other Indian languages.
